TEST-REPORT DELTANIA 22 S
=========================
in " SEGLER-Zeitung, March 2007 Issue :

Here`s a summary:

Sailing Performance:
Tester Peter Schweer confirms for the DELTANIA 22 S a nice sailing performance, also  for Beginners and a concept well turned out.

The ship is easy to steer, even with extreme weight-trim of the crew to the wrong side. She is very manoevrable and turns on a plate.

Through the, at all modern constructions not too big sized Centreboard-Area should not be steered to close to the wind, otherwise there is too much drift.

Stability:
even with 2 people on the wrong side the stability is very well

Practicability:

The well-designed Mast laying system could be handled by just one person.

Positive:

-min. draft of 35 cm
-ergonomical cockpit
-a lot of space under the deck
-nice GRP-works
-high stability
-Rig trimmable through back stay
-very manoevrable
-almost no pressure on the steering

Critics:
-bathing stairs too short (meanwhile extended)
-no ventilation at companionway (is changed)
-Motor bracket mounted too high - (changed)
-Reefing lines missing (now in serial equipment)
-Mooring cleats too small (we could install larger ones)
-no closeable outlets at canalisation (is changed)
-if you put up the rudder and steer it could collide with the Propeller (this happens with every Yacht having the rudder at the back)
-small space above the stern beds

Resume:
good workmanship, impressing much space, a trailersailer for Beginners
